Koregaon Park is a famous road/lane/street in Pune, if not THE famous in whole of the city. The day we started Pune24×7.com, I knew I had to write some article on this place in Pune in Maharashtra. specially for those who have never been to Pune in India. so, here’s what I noticed.. Offices of most multinational companies which work on traveling of people.. Thomas Cook (travel agency), Air India (flights), DHL (Courier), Western Union (money transfer) to name a few. You also have an internet cafe every step you take in any direction. naturally, Koregaon Park has a dense population of foreign visitors among our own rich Indians who come & relax here. Almost 3km long Koregaon Park street is divided into Lane 1, 2, 3.. on right & Lane A, B, C… on left. no confusions! Come to German Bakery before you enter Osho International in Lane 1. its a hang out restaurant with (I must say) a wired menu. I noted neslies & porridges before opting for cola. Koregaon Park in Pune has OSHO International (also known as Osho Ashram). Its founder – Rajneesh (aka Osho) has following greeting message for the world.. “What I am doing here is very simple, very ordinary, nothing spiritual in it, nothing sacred. Visitors tour : You can tour Osho International on any day of the week, but you are adviced to take appointment in advance cause Ashram conduct only 2 tours everyday, at specific timings : 9am to 10am & 2pm to 3pm. tickets are booked morning 9 to 1 & from 2 to 4, and cost 10 rupees each person. What’s in tour? well, you watch an ‘about DVD’, impressions of the OHSO international meditation resort, visit to the library & frequently asked questions. Participation : you can register at the welcome center right at the main gate, which will be followed by further form fillings, AIDS test & first day entrance fee (photo id + Rs. 1000 for Indian nationals & Passport, valid Visa + Rs. 1300 for International visitors).
